This off-season has been every thing pundits and fans a like, considered it would be. Rumors almost everywhere (even if they weren’t quite legit), headline signings and a great deal of trades.

But people didn’t believe that Carmelo Anthony would be in the similar theme, well, not until LeBron James and the rest of the A-list players were signed.

First it was Chris Paul who was being rumored to leave the New Orleans Hornets, before the season began, via trade. But after seating down with the Hornets front-office, CP3 evidently will wait until his contract is over.

Following he stated, “I have been a Hornet my entire career and I hope to represent the city of New Orleans and state of Louisiana for many years to come.” everyone round the web began to put their attention to Anthony.

‘Melo reportedly wished to create a super team someplace not named Denver or Miami, however, appperantly he had a ”list” of his favourite groups he wanted to play for.

The New York Knicks and the Orlando Magic were at the top of the list, yet none had made or got trade offers.

Then it was the Houston Rockets and the New Jersey Nets that had a quite excellent chance of getting Carmelo Anthony and signing him to a mutli-year deal, but, once again nobody tried to make a deal.

After all this media circus about Anthony leaving or staying, it has left lots of hoops fans scratching their head.

So, what’s actually happening?

Well I think the answer is quite obvious; Carmelo’s trade talks between GMs won’t start, until the Nuggets get a GM.

Nonetheless, like Bill Simmons said you can still make theories and this is mine: Anthony will probably take the three-year deal extension that Denver already has put in the table. Why, you ask? Well for a couple of reasons:

He will get more money there that in any other place.

His mentor and friend Chauncey Billups will keep on playing in Denver, plus Billups is a really good PG with a very good back-up in Ty Lawson.

They are contenders in the Western Conference

They are only one true Center away of making a serious push through the playoffs.

From the four teams I formerly mentioned, Houston and Orlando have something that could be acceptable to provide.

Still, Anthony could not like the new GM and want out, so the second most dependable choice will be the Magic.

It all comes down to the GM and how he is likely to take his relationship with Carmelo Anthony, the rest are just theories, it doesn’t matter where you read it or how “reliable” their resources are.
